I grew up in Australia, where I completed my bachelors studies and worked as an economic policy adviser in government. In 2018, I moved to Denmark to study my Masters in Economics (University of Southern Denmark). I enjoyed my return to the academic environment so much, I decided to follow up with a PhD!
Beyond boosting my language skills på svenska, I'm excited about the opportunities ahead to learn from my new colleagues and dive into some fascinating questions of economic history.
Exploring the contribution of education to Scandinavian economic development in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
Something surprising about me:
My interest in Scandinavia was sparked by TV shows from the region; the first being the Danish-Swedish series, "The Bridge" (Bron). So, it is entirely fitting that I now commute between Denmark (home) and Sweden (work), investigating the mysteries of economic history!
