Four new PhD positions

We are happy to announce four new doctoral student positions at the Department of Economic History, Lund University, Sweden, all funded by successful applications for external research grants.

Doctoral student in Economic History – Regional growth in the long run
The PhD position is linked to the research project “Praise the people or praise the place: How culture and specialization drive long-term regional growth”.
The PhD student will work in this project in collaboration with other project members.

Doctoral student in Economic History – A historical approach to retirement
The PhD position is linked to the research project “Golden years”. Understanding the retirement business in pre-modern Europe, c.1250-c.1800, funded by the Swedish Research Council. The PhD student will work in this project in collaboration with associate professor Jaco Zuijderduijn.

Doctoral student in Economic History – Environmental innovation
The PhD position is linked to the research project SWINNO 3.0: “Significant new products and processes in Sweden 1970 to present”, financed by VINNOVA (Sweden’s Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems), and is linked in particular to a sub-project concerning the Swedish forestry sector. The PhD student will design research within the framework of this project in collaboration with other project members.

Doctoral student in Economic History – Public funding of innovations
The PhD position is linked to the research project SWINNO 3.0: “Significant new products and processes in Sweden 1970 to present”, financed by VINNOVA (Sweden’s Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems), and is linked in particular to a sub-project concerning the public funding of Swedish innovations. The PhD-student will work in this project in collaboration with other project members.
